Virginia's Blue Ridge 8K

Why should you decide to run the Virginia's Blue Ridge 8K? Simple! Salem is known as "Virginia's Championship City," which hosts various NCAA Championship events. We are bringing that championship mentality to this race. This course allows you to see Salem and experience why we are called the "Championship City."

The Virginia's Blue Ridge 8K is a scenic tour of Salem in which you will run through sights & sounds of our beautiful city. The race starts on Main Street, takes you through beautiful Roanoke College, quaint neighborhoods and finishes on Main Street with all your family & friends cheering you. This race will be something that you don't want to miss!

This course has been measured and certified to USA Track and Field (USATF) standards. USATF Certification: VA17024RT. Note the course is 82.6 feet long in order to coincide the start and finish with the Half Marathon course.
